350 Cards & Gifts Week: The Home Decor Challenge

So Friday's challenge over at Moxie Fab World was to Paper Craft something that could be used to decorate your house with.  I think this is an excellent idea and one that I do often especially when I can't find that perfect item in stores to finish off a decor idea I have in mind.

So for my entry into the 350 Cards & Gifts: The Home Decor Challenge I have made up a couple canvases that each showcase a special picture to me in a way that a conventional picture frame just couldn't.

The first is a Canvas with a  picture of my Husband and I after we got engaged in Maui.  I am really happy with the way this one turned out.  I embellished it minimally as I felt the Seaside Overlay did a good job of adding enough elements and I didn't want it to feel overdone.

I did add a shell from the beach to give it that added "Beachy Feel"

The next one I did was for an Engagement picture of my Husband and I and to make it I used tissue paper we got from our Engagement party.

I added our initials to the heart to personalize it a little more.

350 Cards & Gifts Week: The Gift Wrap Challenge

  This is the Gift Bag I have created for the 350 Cards & Gifts Week: The Gift Wrap Challenge, the one thing I like to do when I decorate my Gift bags is that everything I put on them is attached so they can come off and be used to Scrapbook with or used on a Card.   I am loving using up all my scrap patterned and solid papers making these cute faux Pin Wheels.

Tuesday Trigger: A Burst Of Blooms

So I have been following Moxie Fab World for a while now and decided I would try the Tuesday Trigger Challenge today.

 I sat for a long while trying many different things, it seems sometimes my ideas are better suited for the paper crafts in my head then on real paper, sometimes I just can't get the cards to look the way they do when I brainstorm them.

  Here is the Tuesday Trigger: A Burst Of Blooms Photo;

 So after a lot of playing around this is my take on the picture above, I tried to keep my card inline with the colors that show up in the photo above and I kept the flower theme going.  The part of the picture which really got me wanting to give this a try was the pop of color provided by the watering can, I tried to mimic that by layering my off white paper on a bright blue.
